WOMENZSHED ONSITE DIY WORKSHOP - THE REAL DEAL

BirdCare Aotearoa, the largest bird rescue charity in NZ, have a wide range of projects they need to improve their facilities at their busy centre in Green Bay, Auckland.

This is a unique opportunity to learn DIY and tool skills in a real situation under the guidance of experienced instructors. There is so much to learn about using power tools on location and being creative within limitations of the tools and materials you have to hand.

What can you learn?

• Practice at working out solutions to common DIY situations
• Learn skills which can be applied to projects at home
• Use a range of tools in a supportive environment
• Ask questions about how to do similar jobs at home
• Improve facilities at the bird hospital so that more birds can be cared for

This particular session involves putting together a kitset Shed. It is an ideal project for DIY beginners looking to gain experience in the use of basic hand and power tools including drills and drivers.

What to expect:​

Sessions are 3 hours.

PPE (eye, ear, respiratory protection) will be available but you are welcome to bring your own.  Sturdy footwear is required and sun protection, refreshments and raincoats are advisable.

Maximum number of attendees is 4.
