Event description

Cool stools, kid's desk or laptop table?

with MATHILDE POLMARD

This three-part wood workshop with Mathilde will enable you to learn a simple design to create something to suit you.  You'll practice use of the table saw as well as jigsaws, hole-saws, drops saws plus drills and drivers and sanders.

This workshop works better for women who have some previous experience with power-tools so we do recommend doing our 'Introduction to the Wood Workshop series' to gain confidence in working with the power-tools.

What to expect:

Each class is for 2 hrs

9.30 to 11.30 am on a Saturday over 3 weeks

10, 17 and 23 Sep

Maximum of 5 participants, minimum of 3 to run.

All workshop PPE (eye, ear, respiratory protection) and equipment provided.  Fixings and sanding paper provided.

What to bring:

+ timber (eg plywood or reclaimed)

If you don't have any suitable timber, we can provide new plywood for a fee ($35)

When Mathilde is not designing spaces, she's a maker with heaps of experience of our wood workshop as well as cabinet-making.  She's a keen educator who is passionate about sharing her skills with women to build confidence with power tools, as well as a passion for creating practical and memorable projects.  Read more about Mathilde's experience here.
