Wonderful Weeds with Martina Hoeppner from Dandelion Permaculture
Event description
Weeds perform important ecological functions in nature, but have a very bad reputation. Many of the weeds growing in our gardens are not only edible, but also more nutritious and delicious than bought spinach or salad greens.
Learn about edible weed identification, safety, medicinal benefits and preparation for food in this two-hour workshop.
We will include a walk through nearby Eric Singleton Reserve and some tastings of dishes prepared with weeds.
We will also touch on sustainable management and prevention of weeds
