WasteSorted Schools wonderful worms and organics workshop
Description
The new PP - Year 6 Worms curriculum has just been released and to celebrate, we are hosting a workshop with Robyn from Waste is my Resource all about wonderful worms!
The workshop will include:
An in depth look at the new Worms curriculum guides (PP - Year 6)
How to set up a worm farm at your school
How to use worm castings on your school gardens
Closing the loop on organic recycling
Other resources available for integrating worms and organics into the curriculum
Hands-on activities straight from the new Worms curriculum guides
Tour of Joondalup Education Support Centre organic recycling systems
It is recommended that you complete the WasteSorted Schools online learning module prior to attending this workshop: wssonlinelearning.wa.gov.au
This workshop is suitable for school staff including teachers, education assistants, principals, administration staff, gardeners, canteen staff and parents. The workshop is FREE and relief reimbursement is available for two staff (teachers, education assistants and gardeners) from each school.
