Wongin Mia Spring Gathering is a festival that brings together visual artists, musicians, performers, environmentalists, producers and first nation peoples to the town of Cranbrook WA to celebrate our unique cultural and environmental biodiversity during an annual 2-day Spring Festival.
Supported by Gillamii Centre, Shire of Cranbrook & Bloom Festival.
The festival aims to build strong partnerships and collaborations within the local and wider community to celebrate our cultural, environmental, and agricultural achievements, while also recognising the need to improve connection and communication with community & local culture.
The festival will be held on the Butcher-Creed family property (Cranbrook) in conjunction with Bloom Festival (18 September 2021 – Sunday 17 October 2021) What you will experience:
2-Day free 'self-sufficient' unpowered camping, and is RV & Caravan Friendly
Guided wildflower bush walks
Performances from local musicians
Choir (song-sound installation in the bush 'sonic forest')
Screening of "Breathing Life into Boodja"
Fundraising opportunities of other community groups (catering etc.)
Creative Workshops (print making, tool making, weaving etc.)
Cultural/educational talks & workshops (local noongar language, mosaic fire burning, bush tucker etc.)
Tickets for good, not greed Humanitix dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity
