Wood be Good Launch at Thor's Hammer

Join us at Thor’s Hammer for a special evening celebrating the arrival of the first shipment of reclaimed Indonesian hardwoods.

For the first time, we’re introducing recycled Ulin (Ironwood) and Teak, to our range. These are two exceptional and rarely available species, salvaged from old buildings, bridges and wharves throughout Indonesia, then given a second life here in Australia.

This shipment has been made possible through our partnership with Wood be Good, a company dedicated to sourcing and restoring reclaimed timber with a strong focus on environmental and social impact.

On the night, you’ll have the opportunity to see and handle samples of both Ulin and Teak, learn more about their unique properties and applications, and hear directly from Tim McInerny, founder of Wood be Good, about the sourcing process and the story behind the timber.

Enjoy an Indonesian-inspired evening with drinks and nibbles as we celebrate this exciting new chapter at Thor’s Hammer. We’ll have a discussion panel and audience Q&A, with Thor Diesendorf, Tim McInerny, founder of Wood be Good, Peter Kanowski, Professor of Forestry at ANU and Dr Depi Susilawati, prominent forestry expert, Honorary Lecturer at the ANU.
