Event description

Join The Village for a morning of wood whittling spoons in the Albany Community Garden as part of Art Trail 2024.

We will be utilising recycled and local wood to whittle a spoon using carving knives.

Participants will be taken through the process of whittling a spoon from a 'blank', oiling and wooden spoon care and sharpening your tools.

Two hours are dedicated to this workshop, however depending on the wood chosen your spoon may not be finished by the end of the workshop. Participants are encouraged to choose the option to purchase a whittling kit on ticket checkout so that they can continue this mindful pursuit after the workshop. However there is also an option to use the tools provided by The Village during the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for 16+ and beginners to wood whittling. Limited places available.
