Experience Port Townsend's Wooden Boat Festival the way one should -- aboard Adventuress. Step aboard the 106-year-old, fully restored schooner for a hands-on sail on Port Townsend Bay. Experience the joy of sailing this beautiful B.B Crowninshield-designed, Rice Brothers-built schooner operated by Sound Experience. Space is limited.

Adventuress is owned and operated by the nonprofit Sound Experience, a WA State 501(c)(3) education organization. Adventuress is a beloved National Historic Landmark (NHL) sailing ship – one of just two NHLs still in active USCG operation on the West Coast. Since 1989, more than 50,000 children and teens have climbed aboard for day and overnight voyages on the Salish Sea. Together, they raise the massive gaff-rigged mainsail, take the helm and learn to sail a tall ship. They learn about the importance of our waterways and oceans, explore maritime careers and – perhaps most important – learn what it takes to be a shipmate.

Bring your school aboard for a day, multi-day or overnight program.
Become a Member, sail on 3-hr Public Sails for 30% off and support our youth education mission.
Send your teenager on an overnight voyage.
Bring your business out for a Workplace Sail.
Make charitable contribution to support youth programs and ship maintenance.
