Come and join us to learn the craft of furniture upcycling and restoration. All materials and tools will be provided, and you will get to bring in your own projects to work on over the three weeks. 

You can bring a small piece of furniture, not a precious piece, or select a piece from the recycling centre.  You will need to take your furniture home at the end of each session.

Bring your own rubber gloves.  All other materials will be provided

Week 1: We will go through everyone’s piece of furniture and talk about what would you like to do with it. And will discuss products and tools required for furniture upcycling. And will start stripping, repairing, filling holes, removing fabric, etc. 

Week 2 and 3 : Sanding, work on any repairs, finishes such as oiling, polyurethane, and wax.

 Important Notes: 

  • You need to arrive at this workshop for the beginning of class and the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.
  • Children are not able to attend with guardians due to health and safety requirements.
  • Please bring your own rubber gloves. 
  • All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).  Some work may be outdoors, please wear a sun hat and sunscreen if required. 
  • Please wear old clothes and bring a water bottle and snacks.
