Woodfiring Experience

Introduction to Wood Firing - For those who want to grasp a more in-depth understanding of the woodfiring experience, we are offering the opportunity to participate in our March 24 firing of 'Celestagama' at Middle Pocket Pottery. 

Be captivated by the flames in a 6 hour participation, either at dusk on the 29th of March led by Suvira McDonald, or dawn on the 30th of March hosted by Venessa Skye.

Participation in either of these events also includes the invitation to be a part of the initial lighting ceremony at the kiln followed by an information session with Suvira and Venessa in the late afternoon of the 27th of March. The introduction to Wood Firing does not include kiln space allocation, but all participants are welcome to be present at the kiln for the unpacking and debrief on the 6th of April, and witness the results of this unique firing process.

Please wear natural fibres, bring a water bottle, snacks, bring sunglasses and welding gloves if you have them. Coffee & tea provided.
