The Bega District Woodcraft Association (Woodies) are opening every Saturday from September 2022 from 9am-2.30pm (but NOT the first Saturdays of the month). Then we’ll celebrate, re-assess and discuss what people want to do for 2023!

Please bring some eye and ear protection if you can (we have some spares) and lunch/snacks. We have tea/coffee, biscuits. We encourage mask wearing for Covid and dust safety. We also have dust extractors and open all the shed doors and windows.

At Woodies you can make handy and beautiful things for homes, gardens, wildlife, and friends, learn joinery and repair furniture. The Woodies shed has a thicknesser, planer, router and jigs for dovetail joinery, table/band/drop saws, lathes, dust extractors, some donated wood, tool sharpeners, and all the hand tools you can think of.

Woodies is also currently open on the FIRST and THIRD Monday, and EVERY Wednesday from 9am-2.30pm. We could stay open later if that suits people? We just need an experienced member who can close up the shed. Also feel free to come in and say hi and have a look, particularly at lunchtimes on the Mondays (lathe focussed days), Wednesdays (all projects days) and the Saturdays in September-November. Our morning tea time tends to be 10.30am and BYO lunch at 12.30pm.

Woodies membership is $104 a year -- the $26 for 3 months will count towards an annual membership. We usually pay up to end of financial year in June, so that would be $52 if there is 6 months to go, $78 if there is 9 months.
