Event description

In the spirit of Reconciliation, Woodleigh School welcomes all community members to join us for the 2023 National Reconciliation Week School Gathering.

The 2023 National Reconciliation Week theme is ‘Be a Voice for Generations’. Together, we honour the work of past generations who have fought for justice in Australia, and work together to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation for generations to come.

Featuring:

  • A whole school choir performance
  • Year 12 students, Ella and True, sharing stories from the 2022 Ampilatwatja Partnership visit
  • Stories and songs from Monica Weightman, musician and proud Murri woman
  • Kenita Bush – Jawoyn woman, Wugularr alumni, Wugabank participant, and Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) staff member
  • And the premiere of 'Belong Wugubank', a film about the 2022/23 Wugubank visits
Guests will enjoy delicious canapes and drinks.
Please RSVP by Monday 29 May.
