The Theater at Woodshill Cordially Presents: A Canterbury Feast
Description
In celebration of our tenth season bringing Shakespeare to the audiences of Central New York, the Theater at Woodshill is proud to present a collaboration with Chef Tim Hardiman of Hardiman Hospitality and Peter and Suzie Jones of Jones Family Farm.
Welcome to A Canterbury Feast, an exclusive fundraising gala in support of Woodshill’s summer production of THE TEMPEST, featuring a multi-course feast inspired by The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, and highlighting the bounty of local farms such as Jones Family Farm and Kingfisher Farm, and showcasing incredible local winemakers, brewers, and coffee roasters.
Threaded throughout Chef Tim Hardiman’s feast will be a series of performances by Woodshill company members that will re-introduce Chaucer and his life’s work, presenting favorite moments from The Canterbury Tales both in Middle and Modern English, and exploring the relationship between Chaucer and his most devoted and important successor in English verse, William Shakespeare.
