Woodworking Hands-On Workshop Series - Beginner Woodworking

Learn the essentials of woodworking in our hands-on beginner woodworking series!
Over 8 sessions this woodworking short course will introduce members of the maker community to the basics of woodworking whilst constructing their own wooden jewelry or instrument box.
This course will cover the use of hand tools and other foundational woodworking skills such as identifying different wood types, basic woodcuts, creating a bench hook, and a variety of wooden joints including:
- Tee halving
- Dovetail halving
- Tusk Tenon
- Housing joint
- Box cut
Perfect for beginners looking for their first woodworking project, or those who have taken a break from woodworking and are looking for a chance to get back in the workshop.
Looking to learn even more about woodworking?
The completion of this course will allow participants to attend intermediate woodworking workshops offered by Makerspace Adelaide.
IMPORTANT INFO
All sessions take place on-site at Makerspace Adelaide with direct instruction from an experienced wood-worker, cost is inclusive of all materials.
Places are limited and bookings are essential.
Participants must have previously completed a Woodworking Induction Session at Makerspace Adelaide.
Enclosed footwear is mandatory.
