Materials

Any coloured pencils you own, not watercolour or pastel pencils.
Or Faber-Castell / Derwent Pencils are great.
Wooden boards ( like a canvas) or a wooden surface, very finely sanded and untreated.
An A4 or 5 visual diary for notes and exercises
Any images you may like to draw on your wooden board
