Woomargama Common Bioblitz- Everyone Welcome!
Join us for the Upper Billabong Refreshing Rivers BioBlitz!
What is a BioBlitz? A BioBlitz is a snapshot study of a specific location, where scientists and the community work together to survey and record as many species of flora, fauna, fungi and aquatic life within a nominated time frame.
As citizen scientists, we can take photos and upload onto the iNaturalist app. Once registered on iNaturalist you can join our projects Great Southern BioBlitz 2025- Greater Hume & Refreshing Rivers Upper Billabong.
We will be hosting a bird watching walk with Rhonda Vile from BirdLife Australia & nest box monitoring with Paula Sheehan from HLN & West Hume Landcare at the Woomargama Common - Dickson St E, Woomargama.
Saturday 25th October 9:00am to 11:00am. Morning tea provided.
Please bring a water bottle & snacks, sturdy shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars and a chair. Remember to bring your camera or phone and download the iNaturalist App - its free!
