Woorilla Poetry Prize 2022 Awards
Event description
The Woorilla Poetry Prize has proved itself to be a truly international competition. This year entrants came from every Australian state and territory as well as from all around the world.
The quality of submissions was once again astounding. The judges, Professor Kevin Brophy and Alicia Sometimes, have been working hard at to decide the short list and winning entries, which will be announced at the event.
This year's event will be a hybrid. The physical event will be held in the stunning Hills Hub, with Victoria's Slam Poetry Champion, Aloma Davis, live music by Coby DeMaria, cheese, wine, raffles and live readings. This will be streamed live on our Facebook page if you are too far away to be there. Register to join the event either online or in person.
Registration requires a ticket. Ticket prices are a donation and vary depending on what you can contribute. Regardless of the ticket price you select, you'll get the same quality presentation, comments from the judges, videos provided by entrants, readings of the shortlisted poems and more.
The bonus with the higher priced tickets is that you'll also receive a warm, fuzzy feeling and the deep gratitude of the volunteer organising committee, as your contribution will help maintain this competition into the future.
Please give what you can.
