The 2024 Woorilla Poetry Prize has again proved to be a truly international competition with entries from all over Australia and the world.

The judges, Emilie Collyer and Gayelene Carbis, have created their short lists and decided on the winning entries, which will be announced at the event.

Both judges commented on the astounding quality of entries which made their jobs very difficult, but rewarding.

If you are lucky enough to live in Victoria, join us for an afternoon of poetry, music and delicious refreshments. Victorian Slam Poetry Champion, Aloma Davis, and award winning poet Cameron Semmens will perform. Featured musician Pia Nesvara will bring the flavours of her Chilean roots to her gutsy performance of vocals and flamenco guitar.

The awards event physical venue is the stunning Hills Hub, Emerald Victoria.

Registration requires a ticket. Ticket prices are a donation and vary depending on what you can contribute. Regardless of the ticket price you select, you'll get the same quality presentation, comments from the judges, poetry videos, readings of the shortlisted poems and more.
