Event description

Words from the Ngāhere

A creative workshop for all ages (4–90+), held in the heart of the Waitākere bush at Arataki Visitor Centre. We’ll wander, wonder, and write—guided by the question: “What does this place need?”—and craft a shared poem. Each participant will also get their own handmade word book to take home.

Our collective poem will become part of a special display of words at Arataki for Phantom Billstickers National Poetry Day, celebrating the voices of our local community.

All welcome whānau—no poetry experience needed, just curiosity and fun.

All Children must be accompanied by a Caregiver.
