Shelter Tas is pleased to offer a series of Workforce Mental Health Wellbeing - Online Training Sessions focusing on Mental Health and Self-Care for the Housing & Homelessness Sector. We all know that we work in an increasingly complex and challenging sector so what better way to start 2025 then focusing on your mental health. The sessions will be presented by Wendy French, Managing Consultant of Talk About Training, Wendy has been highly recommended by individuals in the sector that have attending her training sessions.

Recognising that we are all stretched to find time in our days we have broken the training down into bite sized pieces. The series of 4 x 60 minute sessions will be held over a 4 month period, covering 1 topic per month. By enrolling you are registering for all four sessions.

Workforce Mental Health Wellbeing – online training session

**At the end of each session time will be allocated for discussions around specific areas of concern for individuals in the workplace. If we receive enough feedback Shelter will work with Wendy to use the content from the discussions to develop and offer a specialised session focusing on those areas. If we don't receive enough feedback an extra session will not be developed, given that we are unsure if a course will be able to offered, there will be a requirement to register for this session separately if scheduled.

Wendy French is the Managing Consultant of Talk About...Training, Wendy has extensive and unique experience in providing Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Suicide Postvention education and support in numerous businesses and communities around Australia. She is also a sought after speaker and has presented at numerous National and International Conferences and Forums.

With a strong belief that mentally healthy workplaces play a vital part in people’s overall wellbeing, Wendy has developed Talking About…suite of training programs, incorporating the successful Company Champions program and is also a Licenced Principal Master Trainer of Mental Health First Aid. Wendy is committed to helping business, organisations, individuals and whole communities learn how to obtain and maintain good mental health and to recognise and respond to those impacted by mental health problems.

Session method: Zoom - participants will be provided with a Zoom link 10 days prior to the training session(s).

Requirements: Participants must join on a device with camera and microphone access, the camera is required to be turned on for the training session.

Eligibility and Available Places: Places are subsidised and exclusively available for employees of eligible Shelter Tas member organisations, Specialist Homelessness Services and Community Housing Providers. Total numbers at each session will be strictly capped to 50 in order to ensure quality of training.
