Event description

Friends of Regent Community Garden invites you to our working bee!

Be part of the Olives to Oil Harvest Festival with Friends of Regent Community Garden!

Olives to Oil is an annual event bringing people together from across Melbourne to harvest olives and have them pressed communally into delicious, local olive oil. We will be harvesting our very own olive trees from the Regent Community Garden to take part. Come along and help harvest, or help make some vegetarian and vegan pizza and salad on the day to feast on. No experience necessary. All abilities welcome.

We are also installing our watering system from 1pm and help keep our plants refreshed when the weather gets dry.

Come along to join in for an hour or the whole day!

Free but registration is essential.

Regent Community Garden is an inclusive and welcoming place to connect with community, garden, grow and share fresh produce, socialise, share learnings and help grow a sustainable future.

The community garden is run by volunteers and is open every Sunday from 1-4 except public holidays. We are an accessible and inclusive space and welcome the diverse community. We host regular workshops and events that focus on community connection, being sustainable growing organic food locally, zero waste, sharing culture and experience.

This event is run by Friends of Regent Community garden with thanks to Darebin Council for our community grant.
