  • Your order will be reserved but sent to you only after the full payment plan has been completed.
  • A minimum upfront payment is required to secure your order. This includes a surcharge, a non-refundable cancellation fee, and a refundable deposit.
  • You’ll receive a notification before each payment attempt. You must ensure sufficient funds are available.

Event description

A Working Bee with David Stephen

Come and lend a hand and learn gardening tips and tricks at the same time!

28th November - 10.30am to 2pm
Suggested donation: $10 / an hour of weeding / or both.

Program for the day:

10.30am Greetings over a cup of juice

11am Weeding along the perimeter of the proposed community garden site

12:30pm Picnic lunch 

1pm Continue pulling weeds and applying organic herbicide

2pm Finish

There will be time to discuss gardening during lunch and at other times. 

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • The wonderful sensation of plants and soil on your skin
  • Meeting and chatting with like minded people

WHAT TO BRING

  • Gloves/clothes for getting dirty if you wish
  • Water bottle
  • Notebook and pen

If you wish to donate to Kickstart Arts, please book a ticket, however, you do not need to book: feel free to just turn up! 

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
David Stephen has run his own business for over 30 years, building raised beds, making his own mulch, compost, premium soils and undertaking small landscaping jobs.  He is a composting expert, winning awards for his twin chamber compost bin and being crowned Australian Gardener of the Year.
