Vales Point Power Station is one of two operating coal fired power stations on the shores of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. Vales Point is located on the southern shore of the lake, near the township of Mannering Park. It has two steam turbines, with a total generating capacity of 1,320 MW of electricity.

For the past 3 years Chris has had the responsibility of being the Maintenance Manager to the Vales Point Power Station. Beginning as a graduate engineer over 14 years ago, Chris has an in depth knowledge of the site having held various roles over his tenure from specific projects roles to Shutdown management and the crucial role of material supplies manager.

NEIL ARMSTRONG    
Maintenance Support Team Leader, Delta Electricity
Relatively new to Vales Point Power Station, starting in March 2023, Neil is the Maintenance Support Team Leader and responsible for all the planning of routine and emerging work. An Aerospace Engineer, Neil has worked in Air Force as an Engineering Officer and later Asset Manager and Project Manager, before becoming a contractor with greater Project Management responsibilities, delivering new and upgraded aircraft into service.

As a member of IPA you can register up to 2 people, subject to availability, to attend this event. 
This event is for IPA members only, there will be no public access to this event. 

When do I need to register by?
Registrations close 7 days prior to the event date. 
Registrations are based on a "first come, first served" basis. 
There are no allocated seats with membership.
