This event will focus on the intersection of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sports Science applications.
Centered around leveraging AI and Sports Science methodologies to enhance safety protocols and risk management strategies in various industries, particularly those with physical demands and potential hazards.

Topics Covered

Application of AI in risk assessment and predictive analytics to identify potential hazards before they occur.
Integration of sports science principles into workplace safety programs to improve ergonomics, reduce injuries, and optimise performance.
Case studies and real-world examples demonstrating the successful implementation of AI and sports science in HSE contexts.
Discussion on emerging technologies and innovations in AI and sports science that have the potential to revolutionise safety practices.
Ethical considerations and challenges associated with the use of AI in HSE, such as data privacy and algorithm bias.

About the guest presenter:

  ANDREW MCCOLL
Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, Preventure
  LinkedIn Profile

Andrew has become an industry leader in workplace injury prevention through his innovative and comprehensive approach that utilises both wearable technology and Sports Science.

With a diverse background in physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and occupational health and safety, Andrew has broad expertise in preventing injuries.

Throughout his time treating injured workers, Andrew has gained invaluable insights into the unique challenges faced in the workplace and the devastating impact that workplace injuries can have on a worker. Alongside the team at Preventure, he is dedicated to reducing the risk of workplace musculoskeletal injuries and enhancing the outcomes for injured workers.

Wearable Sensors for Industry

Many workplaces may not have been designed with ergonomics in mind, they might require repetitive manual tasks, or are just inherently unsafe.
Now picture these workplaces where every employee is equipped with a personal injury prevention coach. Instead of a one-size-fits-all training program, these coaches would tailor their guidance to an individual's unique movement patterns and job responsibilities and teach them how to prevent future injuries.
The Preventure team has embarked on an eight-year journey to translate the technology and methodology used in elite sports, into an effective, evidence-based (and sustainable) workplace solution.
Join us for a deep dive into the health science that sits behind the data, and an examination of real case studies from workplaces. Including the real costs involved in implementing a wearable sensor program.

Key takeaways from "HSE Reducing Risk with AI & Sports Science Applications" :

Understanding the Potential of AI: The capabilities of AI in analysing large datasets, identifying patterns, and predicting potential risks in HSE contexts. How AI can complement traditional risk management approaches to enhance safety measures.
Application of Sports Science Principles: Through presentations and case studies, discover how principles from sports science, such as biomechanics, physiology, and psychology, can be applied to improve workplace safety, ergonomics, and performance.
Real-World Examples: Real-world examples and success stories where AI and sports science applications have been effectively utilised to mitigate risks, reduce injuries, and optimise operations across various industries.
Ethical Considerations and Challenges: Discussions on the ethical implications and challenges associated with the use of AI in HSE , providing a deeper understanding of issues such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and the responsible use of technology in safety management.
Future Trends and Innovations: Explore emerging trends and innovations in AI and sports science that have the potential to further enhance safety practices and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.
