Working Group | Maximising Maintenance Efficiency
Event description
This working group will focus on Maximising Maintenance Efficiency: Strategies for handling unplanned downtime, resource allocation, and conflicting priorities.
Join our working group session to tackle challenges faced by maintenance planners and schedulers. Learn how to minimise disruptions caused by unexpected equipment failures, optimise resource allocation amidst limitations, and strike the right balance between preventive maintenance, reactive requests, and production needs.
Engage in collaborative discussions, share experiences, and gain valuable insights from industry experts. Together, let's explore innovative approaches to maximise efficiency, enhance productivity, and overcome the hurdles of unplanned downtime, resource allocation, and conflicting priorities. Let’s propel your maintenance operations to new heights of success.
We will address and explore solutions to:
- Unplanned Equipment Downtime: Maintenance planners and schedulers often face the challenge of dealing with unexpected equipment failures and breakdowns, leading to unplanned downtime and disruption to production schedules.
- Resource Allocation: Optimally allocating limited resources, such as skilled technicians, equipment, and spare parts, can be challenging for maintenance planners and schedulers. Balancing competing demands and priorities while ensuring timely completion of scheduled maintenance tasks is crucial.
- Conflicting Priorities: Maintenance planners and schedulers may encounter conflicting priorities between preventive maintenance activities, reactive maintenance requests, and production needs. Finding the right balance and prioritising tasks based on criticality and impact becomes a key challenge.
