Working Group | Problem Solving in the workplace – what works when
Event description
This working group will focus on 'Problem Solving in the workplace – what works when'
An organisation has many systems within it that control how value is delivered to the end-user. Within these systems, many defects exist that stop them from producing a consistent outcome.
As Taiichi Ohno is attributed to saying, “No problem is a problem”.
Can your people see the problems stopping them from achieving improved performance?
What processes do you have in place to develop the problem-solving skills required to solve simple as well as difficult problems?
What strategies do you have to manage the problem solving process, such as escalation requirements?
How do you know your people are problem-solving and you are creating a learning organisation?
There are numerous methodologies used in business today such as.
- 5 Why
- 8D
- Apollo
- RCA
- Kepner Tregoe
They all work but what methodology is embedded in your organisation?
