'Working in the West' Community of Practice Series - Client Support and Housing Services
Description
The ‘Working in the West’ CoP series aims to breakdown silos between sectors by promoting insights into how different practitioner roles intersect with family violence responses in the western region and foster the development of relationships and enhance cross sector collaboration.
Join us for a conversation with Irin Kaur, Tenancy and Property Officer with the Western Melbourne Client Support and Housing Services Team at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing to learn about housing access for your clients.
Irin will share insights into the public housing application process, detailing the necessary paperwork and tips for advocating for housing prioritisation on behalf of your clients. She will emphasise the significance of sharing relevant risk information to ensure the long-term safety of victim-survivors and their families.
Additionally, Irin will provide essential knowledge to enhance effective information sharing and collaborative practices that help victim-survivors secure long-term housing solutions.
