The session aims to develop teachers’ understanding of the requirements for Proficient Teacher accreditation. It provides advice on achieving Proficient Teacher accreditation for teachers working in casual or short-term temporary roles.

The session covers:

the Australia Professional Standards for Teachers
teaching as a professional continuum of career stages linked to accreditation
understanding Standards-based teaching practice
the journey to Proficient Teacher accreditation
visible teaching practice and impact (for casual and short-term teaching roles)
developing authentic evidence
annotating evidence
accreditation decisions.

The session is delivered online via Adobe Connect.
