Event description

This FREE full-day training will equip frontline workers and team leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, clinically safe care and support and to improve women’s experiences of accessing AOD services.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the diverse experiences and backgrounds of women to enhance their ability to provide gender, and family-responsive treatment. We will cover clinical approaches for working with the connections between substance use, mental health, and trauma, navigating the child protection and legal systems and ways to improve access for women from diverse backgrounds.

The training will be delivered by Michele Campbell, Clinical Director and Antonia Ravesi, Program Manager from the NADA team.

Who should attend?

Frontline support and clinical staff from any NADA member service are welcome to attend. There will be a limit of two staff per service. If you have more staff wanting to attend, please email Antonia@nada.org.au and we will place these staff on a waitlist.
