Working Women Queensland Conference
Event description
Join us at the 2024 Working Women Queensland Conference, being held
at Barrambin / Victoria Park Function Centre on Tuesday 3 September 2024. A
full day conference, followed by an afternoon social event to network and to
unpack the day. WWQ uses a feminist
framework to support women in the workplace, and we are
excited to host this event and bring together a community of practice to
explore current and emerging workplace issues.Â
Key topics
for this year's conference will include:
- Primary prevention of gender based violence in workplaces (including sexual harassment)
- Economic security of women (including the gender pay gap, flexible arrangements, and demystifying superannuation)
- Safe digital transformation of workplaces in the age of AI
Our presenters and panelists will unpack the issues, who they affect and why, and provide insights into what supports and options for advocacy are available.Â
Recent years have seen a raft of industrial relations, discrimination and work health and safety reforms. We will unpack what these changes mean, what avenues are available to address inequity and how workplaces across Queensland can be fairer and safer, especially for women.
[CPD points will be available for attending this event]
This conference is recommended for people working in workplace gender equity spaces, lawyers, unions, social workers, industrial officers, unionists, community sector leaders, feminists, employers, and workplace leaders.Â
