Learn the art of contemporary collage and create your own mid-century modern artwork inspired by our exhibition Lost in Palm Springs. This 3-hr intensive workshop presented by the cool crew from the Sydney Collage Society (SCS) offers a fantastic introduction to creating beautiful and striking collages.
Led by SCS founder Kubi Vasak, you will delve into specific collage styles, exploring colour, balance, texture, form, and image placement. Materials include a diverse selection of books on architecture, photography, nature, science, and numerous fashion and vintage magazines sourced by the SCS.
The workshop caters to both beginners and those with prior experience, providing opportunities for everyone to master new techniques, and allows ample time for sorting images, creating compelling layouts, perfecting image positioning, and finally assembling your collage.
Bring a buddy or make new pals while diving into the creative collage zone!
