In this workshop, participants will sculpt the female figure in clay. Working from the live model we’ll examine body proportion, key structures and gesture markers of the figure. We’ll explore techniques to work with hand and tools to capture the pose and gesture of the model. The pose of the model and the construction of the figure in clay will permit the work to be properly dried and fired. Works can be kiln fired at additional cost.
This 2-day workshop will start at 9:00am sharp and finish at 3:30pm each day. All materials, tools and modelling stand will be provided. The cost of materials and model fees are included. Works can be fired at additional cost.
The cost of the workshop is $250.00 including GST. Lunch, coffee and other refreshments will be available for purchase from the Flaxton Gardens café and restaurant.
The workshop will take place in view of the public with the model attired to suit as part of the many activities associated with Sculpture on the Edge 2023.
Workshop ticket includes entry to the competition exhibition.
