Led by the Dept of Health Suicide Prevention and Response Office and Study Melbourne, this workshop will focus on mental health and suicide prevention for international students.
This workshop seeks to identify key gaps in current frameworks, guidance and supports for higher education providers to support wellbeing and prevent suicide in the international student population in Victoria.
Through discussions about current practice and resources, participants will collectively consider solutions for effective wellbeing support and suicide prevention.
The session is designed to be practical and relevant, with a focus on gathering feedback to identify needs and potential solutions across education settings.
This workshop is ideal for any person working in international student support services, and is designed to strengthen connections across institutions, and build confidence and knowledge in the areas of mental health and suicide prevention.
