YOUTH WORKSHOP: Handmade Movies with Nicci Haynes
Event description
Join artist Nicci Haynes in this hands-on creative workshop where you will make and view a short film by drawing directly onto 16mm film.
In this workshop the physical film material is a canvas, which allows for a uniquely handmade approach to animation. You will experiment with a variety of direct methods such as drawing, stamping, collaging or scratching on actual film material. At the end of the workshop the film will be screened in the CMAG theatrette.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to join us for the viewing! The film will be publicly available on the CMAG website following the workshop.
This workshop is for participants aged 13 - 18 yrs and all materials are provided.
