HTH Founder Eva Ting and Katie Benn, an oncology nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, will ease participants into end-of-life planning conversations with a focus on preparing for such discussions with family members and friends.

This interactive, virtual workshop will take place over two sessions, and participants should plan to attend both dates:

April 21, Monday @ 7-8pm EDT

• People and Paperwork: Who's Involved and What to Expect
• Reliable Resources: An End-of-Life Planning Toolkit
• Real-Time Practice: Prompts and Role-Playing Activities for Your Conversations

Participants are encouraged to have a family member or friend in mind—someone with whom they anticipate initiating end-of-life planning conversations—as there will be time for sharing experiences and receiving personalized feedback/coaching from the facilitators.

The workshop fee includes the cost of both virtual sessions as well as physical and digital materials. Please provide your mailing address with registration for printed materials to be sent ahead of time. The workshop Zoom link will be emailed to participants one week prior to the first session.

About the Presenter
Katie Benn's background in public health research has taken her far and wide: from collecting mosquitos to track West Nile Virus in Virginia to promoting sun-safe school policies in Colorado to counseling NYC taxicab drivers on methods of improving their health and well-being. She currently works as an oncology nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City, where she also chairs the Supportive Care Committee and has researched caregiver experiences during the transition to home hospice. Her interest in end-of-life has come from years of bedside nursing in a culture that remains uncomfortable discussing end-of-life planning.
