The Acquisition Meeting: 10.00am - 11.30am
Aspiring writers get invaluable, behind-the-scenes insight into what publishers discuss with their sales and publicity team before signing an author.
Perfect Pitch: 12.30pm - 1.30pm
Literary agent Alex Adsett and publisher Lex Hirst share practical advice on pitching your manuscript, from cover letters and comparison titles, to when and how to pitch. Using real-world examples, highlighting common mistakes, and sharing success stories, you'll learn how to make your manuscript stand out.
Practice Pitching: 2.00pm - 3:30pm
The chance to your pitch and get feedback from literary agent Brendan Fredericks and literary prize judge Marele Day. Please note, not everyone will get a chance to pitch - names will be drawn out of a hat on the day. Everyone in the session will be present for the practice pitches and feedback.
