Event description

Masterclass, workshop and recital for local brass students and players. 

10:00am – 12pm  | $10 registration 

We invite all brass players to come and join us for a very special morning with Scott Kinmont (Associate Principal Trombone of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Lecturer in Trombone at the Sydney Conservatorium) and Bradley Lucas (Lecturer and Coordinator of Brass at the Sydney Conservatorium, professional Euphonium player and conductor). The morning will include some group lesson time, the opportunity to learn through a masterclass and a recital presented by Scott and Brad, accompanied by Phil Rees.  

The recital program includes a great selection of AMEB pieces and HSC ideas: Morceau Symphonique by Guilmant, Berstein’s Elegy for Mippy 2, and Sinfonia by Pergolesi performed by Scott, and Rhapsody for Euphonium (Curnow), and Midnight Euphonium (Goff Richards) performed by Brad.  

 

 

Local Brass Students combined rehearsal and concert with the Sydney Conservatorium Brass Ensemble 

4:30pm – 5:30pm

Free, registration required. 

All brass students are invited to this special rehearsal. Come and experience playing in a full brass ensemble with the amazing Sydney Conservatorium Brass Ensemble! You will sit side-by-side with the players and rehearse some music for performance in a special concert at 6:30pm. 

Music will be shared after registration. 

Prior to this rehearsal, local students to welcome to observe the SCBE rehearse for the evening concert from 3:30pm – 4:15pm and have the chance to preview some of the program.
