WORKSHOP | SONIC SOUNDSCAPES WITH SALLLVAGE

    Event description

Join artist and DJ Salllvage (Rowan Savage) to collectively create a soundscape listening to Country. Exploring the sonic environment in NURA, you will record moments of sound that feel meaningful to you. Participants will then come together and be guided by Rowan on how to use those sounds to craft an immersive soundscape experience. Hear about Rowan’s sonic process, develop audio skills, and learn how to record and transform 'everyday' sounds into musical rhythms and patterns.

Audiences won't need to bring any equipment, and the skills learnt will be transferable across a range of audio softwares. Participants are encouraged to record ambient sounds on their phone and then email those through as attachments to hello@cementfondu.org in the lead up to (or during) the workshop.

Salllvage (Rowan Savage) is a Kombumerri man working at the intersection of music, performance and connection with Country. Rowan uses field recordings from his Country to make experimental electronic music that take the form of performances, soundscapes and interactive experiences.

    29 October, 2-4pm.

    All are welcome.
