Workshop: Reframing Pain in the Brain
Event description
Want to learn more about your own body and why it matters to how much you hurt?
Be part of an interactive 1 hour workshop at MOD. to find out!
This workshop will use body illusions so that you yourself can experience how perception is formed in the brain. It will then discuss new information that we know about pain, specifically, how pain can be a protective perception that can be influenced by the same sensory distortions as occurring during illusions. We are trying to better understand the value of learning about bodily illusions and pain. If you would like to be involved in this research, it will involve completing two online questionnaires (15 minutes each).
You must be 15 years or older to participate.
