WORKSHOP - Self Abhyanga Workshop with Raewyn Fernandez
Description
Abhyanga is the Ayurvedic practice of warm oil massage, traditionally used to nourish the body, calm the nervous system, support circulation, and restore a sense of steadiness within.
In this workshop, you will be guided through the foundations of self abhyanga in a simple, practical, and accessible way. You will learn why oiling the body is considered such an important daily ritual in Ayurveda, how it supports different constitutions and seasons, and how to adapt the practice for your own body and lifestyle.
This is a deeply grounding practice, especially supportive for stress, fatigue, dryness, overwhelm, poor sleep, and feeling disconnected from the body. It invites us to slow down, soften, and return to ourselves through touch, rhythm, and care.
No prior experience with Ayurveda or Vedic practices is needed. For those already familiar with these traditions, this workshop offers a beautiful opportunity to deepen your relationship with dinacharya, daily self-care, and the subtle medicine of embodied ritual.
You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to begin your own self abhyanga practice at home.

FAQs
- What is the Vedic worldview?
The Vedic worldview is an ancient understanding of life that sees consciousness as the foundation of everything. It teaches that there is an underlying intelligence organising nature, and that when we live in greater alignment with it, life tends to flow with more ease, clarity and purpose. In these workshops hosts will apply Vedic principles to workshops to help you gain the most from understanding the laws of nature.
