Workshop: Transform your Jewellery with Sinead Woods

Come along and learn a few basic jewellery repairs you can do yourself at home with a few simple tools such as pliers and glue. 

No previous experience required.

Suitable for children 10+. 

What to bring: Just yourself and any jewellery you don’t like or broken pieces, beads, even small non jewellery items. (Its fine if you don’t have anything to bring). Or bring along a jewellery project you have that you would like some help on.

What you will do: Sinead will give a demonstration on several basic jewellery repairs and alterations.Sinead will then provide individual advice to fix or reimagine the piece you have brought along with Sinead’s kit of repair pieces – most are free and some specialist pieces a small fee. Solid silver findings available for a small fee.

You will also get a sheet to take home with the tips you have learned and a mini polish cloth to polish your jewellery!

Demonstrations such as: Closing an open jump ring on jewellery (the most common problem!) Convert a Bracelet to necklace. New ideas for old charms, pendants and single earrings. Shorten your bracelet or necklace. Replace a broken clasp. Basic jewellery stringing. Gluing jewellery. Cleaning and restoring pieces. Replace a watch battery. Find out your ring size.
