Sarah Priddle and Sarah Terrell, Investment Advisers at Forsyth Barr, will take us through the session and share some practical insights and advice.

The session will cover:

• A brief market and economic update, so attendees leave with a current view of what is happening in markets

• Key investing reminders, including the value of a long term approach and the risks of chasing the latest “hot” trend

• Time in the market, vs timing the market. Why trying to time the market is rarely a winning strategy, with some real world examples

• The power of compounding over time, and why starting early makes such a difference (including through KiwiSaver)

• A short introduction to Forsyth Barr and how they support a range of clients, from those with emerging wealth, through to people who have sold a business or property, and on to families, trusts and charitable organisations

This will be an educational and interactive session, with plenty of opportunity for questions. No prior investment knowledge is required – just bring your lunch, your questions and an open mind!
