Event description
May 20th is World Bee Day! To celebrate, the Bathurst Campus Environmental Working Group (CEWG) is running a hands on event for our Bathurst Campus. This is will the support of the International Student Office, Student Connection and Sustainability at Charles Sturt.
The event will include
- Garden Work & Propagation Lesson: Learn how to propagate plants using repurposed containers and how to make your garden pollinator friendly. All participants will get the opportunity to take home their own propagated plants!
- Craft Session: Get creative with pollinator-themed crafts to compliment your new addition
- Waggle Dance: Join us to learn and perform the famous Waggle Dance at 12:30 PM. The performance will be recorded for social media!
- Morning Tea: Enjoy a delightful morning tea with fellow bee enthusiasts. There will be the opportunity to score a free coffee from the CHEERS Cafe to those who also bring their BYO Cup, along with the opportunity to win an array of kindly donated honey products.
This is a FREE event that is open to everyone! Students, staff and community members.
