Join us for dinner to celebrate World Environment Day 2023 on June 3 at Albert Hall.

This year, we are honoured to welcome Richard Swain as our guest speaker.

First held in 1973, World Environment Day has grown into a global platform for raising environmental awareness and spurring environmental action. You’re invited to be part of the change by attending our annual World Environment Day Dinner on Saturday 3 June.

Using this global day to connect and to champion the stories of the environment, we are pleased to be joined by Richard Swain as our guest speaker.

Richard has worked for 30 years as a river guide and ecotourism operator within Kosciuszko National Park. In 2018 Richard initiated the award winning Reclaim Kosci campaign to protect Kosciuszko National Park from the impacts of feral horses. Richard recently co-directed the Where The Water Starts environmental documentary. As a Wiradjuri man and ambassador for the Invasive Species Council, Richard is currently working on the Voice for Country campaign.

The Conservation Council is proud of the work we do and the community we are part of.

Wherever you live in our beautiful region, you’re part of a powerful network of more than 40 Member Groups, working together to protect the unique wildlife and environment of the ACT. The Conservation Council and its Member Groups are all working towards nature protection and a safe climate future.

By purchasing a ticket, you are making this important work possible. It is only together that we can fight against the climate crisis and our declining natural world.

This year we are returning to our community roots with an intimate event at the beautiful Albert Hall. Dress to impress in your best sustainable threads and for an evening of celebration, learning and connection.

Your ticket will include:

Learning from Richard Swain about the Voice of Country
A local three course meal from Gather
Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
The opportunity to make inspiring connections with your environmental community
The chance to bid on local items in a silent auction
A performance by local musician

General Admission: $150

Concession: $90 (students, seniors and those with a health care card - no evidence required)

By attending World Environment Day you’ll be playing an important role in our local environmental community by learning, connecting and donating.

We look forward to celebrating and connecting with you on June 3.
