IXDD 23 - Ethics, Equity, + Responsibility

September 26, 2023, is World Interaction Design Day (#IxDD), IxDA’s annual event where we come together as a united global community to show how interaction design improves the human condition. This year’s theme focuses on considering design’s impact on society and creating work that is ethical, equitable and responsible.

IxDA Sydney & SydDT are pleased to be contributing to this important dialogue around ethics, equity, + responsibility. We have a great evening planned where together we’ll explore how to make this happen. We’re excited that this will be led by Dynamic4’s Ben Pecotich (based on themes from his recent UX Australia talk on Regenerative Design & Innovation… for Happier Communities) and an activity led by Sara Cave and Will Farrier from WAVE on the importance of ethics, equity, + responsibility in design (drawing on Will’s reflections on how to put people first in community care settings).
