World Metrology Day 2026 Celebration

The Measurement Standards Laboratory of New Zealand (MSL) warmly invites you to attend our World Metrology Day 2026 celebration. This annual event recognises the vital contributions of those working across intergovernmental, national, and local metrology organisations and laboratories. This year's theme, Building Trust in Policy Making, reflects the central role that measurement plays in informed decision-making; from trade and innovation to public health and emerging technologies. Reliable measurement provides the evidence base on which sound policy – and public trust – depend.

The day presents a valuable opportunity for MSL stakeholders, customers, team members, and friends of metrology to strengthen connections, hear from a diverse range of speakers across policy, research, and practice, and tour MSL laboratories. The programme will conclude with a networking hour hosted by the Metrology Society of Australasia (MSA).

Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided. The event is free; however, spaces are limited, so please click Register to secure your place.

The MSA Networking Hour is optional on the registration form. The venue is a short drive away, and transport can be arranged if needed.
