Every year, the world celebrates World Ocean Day on June 8th.
This year's theme is Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean.
Join us for an exciting World Ocean Day panel discussion evening at the University of Canterbury. Aimed for students, professionals and the general public, we will engage with experts and leaders in the marine science and ocean stewardship space.
From climate change impacts to ocean finance, Indigenous knowledge, ocean literacy education, conservation, regeneration, the upcoming Ocean conference and the Blue Economy, we will explore how to grow awareness and revitalization for the 71%.
Organized by the Blue Cradle Foundation in collaboration with the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), speakers will include representatives from nonprofit organizations, the scientific community, mana whenua, multilateral organisations and local government.
