Join us for the world premiere of Our Medicine, a new documentary series for NITV following First Nations professionals working on the medical front line as they try to achieve better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities.Â
Following the screening join the fun at the Gimme Gimme Bar to celebrate the last night of the festival. Included in your ticket along with a welcome drink and share platters and cash bar available with local entertainment.
Synposis:
Our Medicine is a ground-breaking observational series, which takes viewers behind the frontline of our strained medical services, and joins patients on their emotional journeys through the system. In this character-driven documentary series First Nations doctors, nurses, paramedics, midwives and traditional healers operating on the medical front-line are filmed right across Australia, as they push themselves to their limits trying to achieve better health outcomes for their First Nations patients and communities. Narrated by Leah Purcell, Our Medicine is directed by Kimberley Benjamin and Karla Hart, and produced by Karla and Sam Field.
