World’s Smallest Improvised Music Festival | Live at the Library - Garry Greenwood Leather Instruments

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

FREE!

People in Launceston may be familiar with the work of leather sculptor Garry Greenwood (1943-2005). Many of his pieces, beautiful visual artworks in themselves, were also created to be playable musical instruments. LIMA will present a ‘play & tell’ about some of these instruments as part of The World’s Smallest Improvised Music Festival. Come and hear some music that has been especially created for these instruments and talk with the musicians who play them. If you have a title in mind we could even create an original piece of music in the moment for you at the Library!

Supported by Friends of Launceston Library.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION: This venue is wheelchair accessible.
