Event description

Some of the best and brightest composers and players of Aotearoa converge for a swinging sound: from anger to solemnity, free to bop… From the heart.

After a stint in Auckland, Wellington is returning this group the favour with a hip gig at Hackett's. Not a gig to be missed!

The World Tandem Ensemble includes Iggy Nama Ruci (alto/bari sax, flute), Isaac Randel (tenor sax), Miro Holland (rhythm section), Jack Harris (double bass), Finn McNeil (drums), and Ryan Tomov (piano/bass). The ensemble features a mix of musicians from Wellington and Auckland, with original compositions and influences from various jazz styles and beyond

Capital Blues Inc. is keeping the blues alive in Wellington with fortnighly Thursday night gigs at Underworld Tavern. These are supported by the bar with discounts for Capital Blues Club members. The events have a cover fee, usually at $20, $10 for members - and still blues and roots music for everyone to enjoy.

Now we've added an exciting new concert series - and with your support this will be a fantastic addition to the Wellington live music calendar. Currently the last Sunday of the month at 1pm, prices are usually $20, and $10 for club members.
